A troubling addiction. A betraying thought. A compromising situation. Temptation comes in many forms, sparking a fierce “winner-takes-all” battle for our souls that has one goal: to cause us to stray off the path that leads to godly living.
And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” | Luke 22:40
And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. | Luke 8:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. | Matthew 6:13

What happens when you run into temptation can be the result of how you have prepared your heart up to then. But when you are in temptation, remember to draw close to Jesus by calling out to Him, and live for eternity and not the moment.
