24 Bible Verses About Citizenship

The concept of spiritual citizenship is most clearly expressed in Philippians , where Paul writes, “Our citizenship (politeuma [polivteuma]) is in heaven.” This is the only place in Scripture where the word is used, but the idea is found in both Jewish and Christian literature.

 

As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. | 1 Corinthians 15:48
