Unconditional love is known as affection without any limitations, it can also be love without conditions. This term is sometimes associated with other terms such as true altruism, or complete love.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. | 1 John 4:8

The main use of unconditional in Christianity is the assertion “That God so loved the world…” In other words, God loves the world enough to suffer for us without preconditions. There is then that postcondition of actually accepting that Grace.
